TravelMatchr is a connection platform. We help travelers find hosts and travel companions by matching compatible people based on their profiles and preferences.
TravelMatchr is not a hospitality provider, travel agency, or accommodation service. We do not own, operate, or control any accommodation. Any arrangement made between a host and a traveler through this platform is entirely between those two individuals.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this rule.
You must provide accurate information when creating your profile. Impersonation, false identity, or misleading profiles are grounds for immediate account suspension.
When a traveler sends a match request to a host, no booking or commitment is created. A match request is simply an expression of interest. A connection is only established once the host explicitly accepts the request.
TravelMatchr does not guarantee any match, response, or meeting between users. The platform facilitates introductions — what happens after is between the users involved.
TravelMatchr may in future facilitate voluntary financial contributions from travelers to hosts to help cover costs (referred to as a "contribution"). This feature is not currently active.
When contributions are enabled, they will be voluntary and agreed directly between host and traveler. TravelMatchr processes payments as a technology intermediary only. Hosts are solely responsible for compliance with local short-term rental, income reporting, and tax regulations in their country.
TravelMatchr is a connection service. We are not responsible for the actions, behaviour, or safety of any user on or off the platform. By using TravelMatchr you acknowledge that meeting strangers carries inherent risks and that you do so at your own judgement and risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TravelMatchr's liability is limited to the amount paid by you to TravelMatchr in the 12 months preceding any claim.
You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, bio, messages). By posting content, you grant TravelMatchr a non-exclusive licence to display it to other users for the purpose of the matching service. You confirm that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.
You can delete your account at any time by contacting support@travelmatchr.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of TravelMatchr after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal, unless mandatory local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
